In order to maintain the facility of Panda House and animal welfare consideration to ensure a better visiting experience, The Panda House will off for visiting every 1st Monday each month. (In year 2010, it will be 1/4, 2/1, 3/1, 4/6, 5/3, 6/7, 7/5, 8/2, 9/6, 10/4, 11/1, 12/6)

Opening Time

  • Open every day of the year, except Chinese New Year's Eve.
  • 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Tickets are sold until 4:00 p.m.
  • Opening time of Panda House: 9:10 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Panda House is closed during "every first Monday of the month."

Visiting Rules

  • Please check the panda-visiting time on the ticket drawn at the zoo entrance. Then go to the Panda House at the indicated time.
  • The visiting time is based on the LED displaying time shown outside the house. Only 400 people people in holidays or 300 people in weekdays are allowed to enter Panda House in each time period. The house will open to the arrivals who miss the visiting time when the people inside are less than 400 (or 300). Those arrivals need to line up in a specified zone and enter the house with the drawn tickets.
  • Please arrive the Panda House 10 minutes ahead of the ticket time.
  • The panda-visiting tickets can not be made up if they are lost.
  • Visitors who want to go out the zoo and come back on the same day can leave with seals stamped at the group ticket entrance. Then reenter the zoo at the same entrance before 4 p.m.

  • How many people can visit pandas a day?
    Taipei Zoo only opens 19,200 people in holidays or 14,400 people in weekdays to visit giant pandas a day for the sake of visiting quality and safety. Visitors can draw the panda-visiting tickets after purchasing the admission tickets at the zoo entrance. Then go to Panda House at the time shown on the drawn tickets.

    Yes. People who miss the visiting time can line up in a specified waiting zone with the drawn tickets. There are 400 people in holidays or 300 people in weekdays allowed to enter Panda House every 10 minutes according to the LED displaying time. Panda House will open to the people who miss visiting when there are less than 400 people (or 300 people) inside.
