穿山甲是全世界盜獵跟走私最大量的哺乳動物,過去10年約有100萬隻遭到獵捕販運。臺灣雖然不是主要走私販運國家,但少數民眾仍會食用和販售穿山甲 (圖1)。
Pangolins are the most trafficked and smuggled mammals in the world, with around one million pangolins captured and traded over the past decade. Although Taiwan is not the major smuggling country, some people still consume and sell them (Figure 1).
野保法規定騷擾保育類穿山甲違反野生動物保育法、可處1年以下有期徒刑,併科30萬元以下罰金。此外,盜獵穿山甲可處5年有期徒刑,得併科100萬元罰金。若有發現買賣或盜獵,請打1999或保安警察第七總隊(保七)通報。
Disturbing protected animals such as pangolins violates the Wildlife Conservation Act and may result in up to one year of imprisonment and a fine of up to 300,000 TWD. Additionally, poaching pangolins can result in a prison sentence of up to five years and a fine of 1,000,000 TWD. If you encounter any instances of buying, selling, or poaching pangolins, please report them to 1999 or the Seventh Special Police Corps (保七).
