By choosing “Moving Forward with Elephants ” as the theme of the exhibition, the organizers seek to explore the secrets spanning the daily life, behaviors, and habitats of existing elephants through a fun-filled and educational approach. Centered around the goal of teaching, the exhibition is divided into six sections: Elephant Footprints, Facts about Elephants, Elephant Taxidermy, Elephant Crisis, Elephant Conservation and Toward a Better Future with Elephants.

The journey starts with the elephant mounts of Lin Wang and Malan. The spectacular elephants display welcomes visitors with an introduction to the brief history of elephants in Taiwan, followed by facts about elephant footprints. Subsequently, visitors will learn about elephants’ daily lives, zoological facts about the animals, as well as the shapes and structures of the animals by observing their mounts and exploring stories of their lives. Finally, visitors would be transposed into the troubled worlds surrounding elephant crisis, in order to understand and appreciate the challenges facing elephants’ survival. As the modern “Zoo Ark”, the ultimate goal for the zoo is to mobilize the public to take actions to protect elephants, so that both humans and elephants can move forward in harmony.
